Newbury House & Estate
Kirkwood McLean were appointed as Architects to develop and deliver the refurbishment and extension of a Grade II listed Victorian Baronial Mansion near Newbury. The development, for a private family, included the formation of a new basement, wellness centre and refurbished outbuildings including cottages, garages and workshops.
Working alongside the incumbent Contractor, R.W. Armstrong and with input from the executive Architect, Purcell the project was successfully delivered. The project was a positive example of how modern technologies can be carefully and sensitively woven into historical fabrics.
